Relief valves from Condor: quality and expertise for your compressed air systems

Discover the first-class relief valves (EV) and start-up relief valves (AEV) for Condor pressure switches, which have been specially designed for a wide range of applications in compressed air systems. With our many years of experience and specific expertise, we offer solutions that guarantee both quality and efficiency.

Condor relief valves (EV)

The Condor relief valves are used to drain the pressure line safely and efficiently. They ensure load-free starting of the electric motor in compressed air systems, significantly extending the service life of the motors. Our high-quality relief valves are available in various designs, including models with screw mounting or quick coupling as well as robust brass or plastic versions. In addition, we also offer a convenient angle valve option to meet the requirements of a wide range of system configurations.

Condor start-up relief valves (AEV)

Our starting relief valves extend the functionality of the classic relief valves. They offer the same protective functions, but go one step further by relieving the engine during the starting process. This is achieved by a delayed closing function that is only activated when a certain pressure is reached. This innovative technology not only protects the engine, but also makes a positive contribution to the wear behavior of your entire system. Like the EVs, the AEVs are also available in versions with screw fastening or quick coupling as well as in brass or plastic versions, including a practical angle valve variation.

Why are relief valves essential for your compressed air systems?

Relief valves (EV) play a crucial role in the efficient and safe use of compressed air systems. But why are they so important? Here are some key points that underline the need for relief valves:

  1. Safety function: Relief valves enable the pressure line to be drained safely and thus protect against overpressure situations that can lead to damage to components in the compressed air system.
  2. Load-free motor start-up: Venting the supply line to the pressure accumulator ensures that the electric motor can start up load-free. This reduces wear and tear and significantly extends the service life of the motors.
  3. Energy efficiency: A correctly functioning relief valve ensures that the compressed air systems work efficiently, resulting in long-term cost savings.
  4. Avoidance of pressure peaks: By venting simultaneously when the compressor is switched off, relief valves prevent pressure peaks that could put a strain on the entire system.
  5. Compact design: Many relief valves from Condor are available in compact designs that allow easy integration into existing systems without significantly increasing the space required.
