In a dental laboratory, nothing works without compressed air. From simple air hand nozzles to modern CAD/CAM systems - a stable and safe compressed air supply is an indispensable component of success. Innovateeth Manufaktur - a name that is a portmanteau of “innovative”, “teeth” and manufacture. Since 2020, Patrick Haas and Innovateeth Manufaktur have focused on two areas: On the one hand, state-of-the-art dental technology, using the latest materials, manufacturing techniques and machines. On the other hand, a manufactory in which highly specialized products are made by hand.

Dental technology is also craftsmanship.

With the founding of the company in 2020, Patrick Haas decided to move further towards the digital future and thus simplify the classic workflow from the 1970s and make it more effective. The dental laboratory is equipped with the latest dental technology machines to keep pace with the development towards digitalization. Patrick Haas and his team use modern CAD/CAM milling and grinding machines to ensure reproducibility, accuracy and efficiency.

Challenge

Reliabel compressed air - an important prerequisite

When an innovative and modern company looks at the energy efficiency and sustainability of its processes and systems, it inevtably has to think about compressed air generation. An initial inventory showed that there was enormous savings potential here. The piston compressors used since then were no longer suitable for the requirements of a dental.

With the aim of optimizing this situation by using a new compressed air station, the points and specifications that needed to be implemented were discussed in detail with Mr. Haas in advance. The cornerstones of the objective were, of course, a clean and reliable compressed air supply with a small footprint. A system that is absolutely up to the task and offers space for expansion.

The company works intensively with compressed air to produce a wide range of dental products such as

  • Bite splints, snoring splints, individual splints for protection during sporting activities
  • All-ceramic products
  • 3D print molds
  • Model casting prostheses, telescopic prostheses made of zirconium and much more.

to produce.

Solution statement

  • Even if the first step was not to create a fail-safe system, Patrick Haas has a complete compressed air station from KAESER which ensures that a wide range of applications can be used reliably and permanently.
  • Based on a measurement and the machine manufacturer's specifications for the new 3D printers, FILCOM GmbH was able to offer a suitable complete solution in premium quality.
  • A KAESER “AIRCENTER” compact compressed air system that works reliably and efficiently, even in continuous operation, and takes up little space.
  • At the heart of the system is an energy-saving KAESER SM 6-8 rotary screw compressor
  • Another important efficiency component is the fact that the system is equipped with the communication-capable KAESER Sigma Control 2 control system as standard.
  • A KAESER refrigeration dryer, thermally shielded from the KAESER compressor, ensures reliably dry compressed air.

Customer benefeit

  • Thanks to the energy efficiency of the KAESER system, the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) even rewards the purchase and installation with a maximum 40% subsidy. This enabled Innovateeth to stay within the tight budget and even undercut it.
  • For FILCOM GmbH, support with the application process is a service that saves time and is very popular with customers.
  • The left-hand housing cover can be removed in a few simple steps to reveal the clearly arranged components. All maintenance points are therefore easy to reach.
  • When closed, the housing with its sound-absorbing lining ensures a pleasant, extremely quiet operating noise.
  • In line with the “plug & work” principle, the KAESER AIRCENTER is ready for use immediately after connection to the power and compressed air supply.
