In light of rising energy prices, growing regulatory requirements, and advancing climate change, the question of a future-proof energy supply is becoming increasingly urgent. Especially for energy-intensive companies, the new Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG) offers not only obligations but real opportunities for cost reduction, sustainability, and a decisive competitive advantage.
And this is exactly where FILCOM GmbH comes in. We are your experienced contact for compressed air solutions and services, providing you with expert support in implementing legal requirements and setting up energy-efficient systems.
The Energy Efficiency Act – what does it mean in concrete terms?
The EEfG requires companies with an annual final energy consumption of more than 2.5 GWh to implement concrete energy efficiency measures. If consumption exceeds 7.5 GWh, a certified energy management system is even required.
THE GOAL: By 2030, final energy consumption in Germany is to be reduced by 26.5% compared to 2008. This corresponds to approximately 1,867 terawatt hours – an ambitious but achievable target.
With this law, the federal government aims to:
- curb climate change
- increase security of supply
- and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
For your company, this means: Those who act early can not only avoid fines through efficient systems and targeted measures, but also save considerable costs and strengthen their market position.

FILCOM - Your Partner for Greater Energy Efficiency

Heat Recovery - Double Energy Use
Heat recovery is a particularly effective lever for increasing energy efficiency. Almost 100% of the energy absorbed by a compressor is converted into heat – a huge untapped potential.
This is what your compressed air contains:
- 76%: heat recoverable via the cooling fluid
- 15%: heat recoverable through compressed air cooling
- 5%: waste heat from the engine
- Only 4%: unusable
Areas of application for heat recovery:
- Space heating in workshops and offices
- Hot water for sanitary facilities
- Process water for industry, textiles, and food
- Drying and cleaning processes

FILCOM equips your compressed air station with state-of-the-art recovery technology – air- or water-based – to suit your needs. With the KAESER Energy Saving System (KESS), you will receive a customized calculation of your savings potential – in kWh and euros.
