When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the world stands still for affected families. During this difficult time, they need not only medical care, but also closeness, security, and a safe environment. The Blue House in Stuttgart offers just that: a temporary home for families with children with cancer – just steps from the Olga Hospital. Here, parents, siblings, and relatives find not only a roof over their heads, but also space for encounters, exchange, and renewed courage. Thanks to modern air filtration technology from Filtration Group, special attention is paid to the health of all guests – for greater safety during an already challenging phase of life.
The Blue House
The Blue House offers families with children with cancer a temporary home with 900 m² spread over three floors. Here, affected families can stay during their children's inpatient or outpatient treatment, find peace and, above all, be close to their loved ones.
The Blue House is centrally located near Stuttgart's Olga Hospital. The exchange between affected families can be incredibly helpful and empowering during difficult times. Therefore, the Blue House offers plenty of space for interaction. Through interaction, worries and suffering can be shared, and many things can be experienced from a different perspective.
FILCOM donates air filter
With the help of the innovative SilentCare air filter, the risk of infection with pathogens in the interior of the Blue House was significantly reduced. This allowed families with children with cancer to enjoy a safe environment, even during the coronavirus pandemic.
Thanks to its casters, the air filter could be used flexibly and mobilely for consultations at the aftercare counseling center. This also allowed group activities, which make an important contribution to the families, to resume.
Efficient and quiet
- Cornelia Völklein is particularly impressed by the SilentCare's functionality and extremely quiet, draft-free operation. With a noise level of <43 dB(A), the room air filter is a very pleasant companion and does not disturb families and children during group activities and gatherings, supporting the daily routine in the Blue House.
- The HEPA H14 filter used guarantees the rapid and effective removal of airborne pollutants such as viruses, bacteria, pollen, and aerosols through high efficiency and low power consumption.
- The multi-stage operation allows for individual adjustment to the room's use, comparable to shock ventilation, thus adapting to the conditions of the Blue House.
