The conical dust filter element is installed on the raw gas side of the filter system. Its dimensions—Ø120 × 300 mm (outer diameter × height)—provide a filter area of 0.5 m².

Filter media TI 2011/1: Polyester nonwoven fabric with stainless steel fibers, topped with a PTFE membrane; electrostatically dissipative. It was developed for electrostatically chargeable, flammable fine dusts, including in explosion-protected areas (ATEX) in pharmaceutical and food applications. The material thickness is 0.6 mm. White polyester needle-punched felt is used as the sealing material, and the end cap is made of stainless steel.

The connection to the filter basket is made via a round thread. According to the manufacturer’s data sheet (Series 120 NK, Types 852 902 through 904), the element is mounted on the filter plate without tools using a Rd 72×5 threaded connection; a hole with a diameter of 80 mm must be provided for this purpose. The manufacturer offers adapters for Rd 60×4, Rd 74×4, or installation on the clean gas side. Cleaning is recommended using a Multijet nozzle MJD-12 (G3/8) at 4 to 6 bar, max. 7 bar; the differential pressure is max. 18 mbar. According to the manufacturer, the FOOD version of the series features stainless steel components and a polyester felt gasket and is food-grade compliant (EC 1935/2004, EU 10/2011, FDA). In addition to the model number 852 902, the TI 2011-0.5 and TI 2011-0.5 V4A FOOD SF are also available.
