KAESER DHS 4.0 80 DN 80 Pressure Maintenance System – Reliably Ensuring Compressed Air Quality

The KAESER The DHS 4.0 80 pressure maintenance system protects the treatment components of your compressed air station from overflow during restart after periods of light load or downtime. Without a pressure maintenance system, there is no resistance from the network pressure—compressed air flows through Refrigeration Dryers and Compressed Air Filters at too high a speed and impairs the quality of the compressed air.

The DHS 4.0 80 is equipped with an intermediate damper (shut-off damper) and is installed directly into the pipeline with a DN 80 flange connection. The patented control system with pulse-width modulation precisely controls the spring-loaded pneumatic rotary actuator and ensures minimum pressure at a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar. Two selectable operating modes cover both stations with multiple treatment lines (Operating Mode I) and systems with a single treatment line (Operating Mode II).

The electronic control unit, featuring a 25-language display, an integrated pressure sensor, and a SIGMA NETWORK interface, enables integration into the higher-level control system SIGMA AIR MANAGER 4.0. In addition, the DHS 4.0 80 features a Modbus-TCP interface, dry-contact inputs and outputs, and a manual emergency override in the event of a power failure. Its dimensions are 258 × 268 × 489 mm (W × D × H), and it weighs 12.6 kg.
