Flow meter & compressed air meter for compressed air

VA series thermal flow meters & compressed air meters - volumetric flow meters for measuring compressed air consumption

Do you want to know where your compressed air is really flowing? The thermal flow meters in the VA series from CS Instruments make it possible. As high-precision compressed air meters and volumetric flow meters, they record consumption at every point in the network - from the compressor outlet to the individual consumer. The VA 500 as a plug-in flow sensor fits in pipes from DN 8 to DN 2000, the VA 520 is the inline flow meter with DVGW approval, and the compact VA 525 was developed for smaller pipes up to DN 50. Measuring compressed air consumption has never been easier: display, totalizer, 4-20 mA and Modbus are on board every sensor. All flow sensors for measuring compressed air consumption are manufactured by CS Instruments in VS-Tannheim.

Compressed air consumption measurement - Why every company should measure its compressed air consumption

30% of your compressed air is lost - do you know where?

Studies show: In many companies, up to 30 percent of the compressed air produced is lost unused - due to leaks, inefficient consumers or unfavorable switching times. Without a flow meter for compressed air, you have no chance of finding these losses. The thermal flow meters in the VA series from CS Instruments show you at a glance how much compressed air is consumed and where - in m³/h, Nm³/h and as a total meter in Nm³. This makes compressed air consumption measurement the starting point for real savings. A flow sensor in the right place can pay for itself after just a few months. In addition, the Leak detectionto eliminate the losses found.

The VA series: VA 500, VA 520 & VA 525 - the right compressed air meter for every pipeline

The VA 500 is the most versatile flow sensor in the CS Instruments range: As a plug-in sensor, it fits into pipes from 1/2" to DN 2000 using a ball valve fitting - it can also be installed under pressure during operation. The VA 520 is the inline flow meter with integrated measuring section and DVGW approval - particularly suitable as a volume flow meter for billing purposes. The compact VA 525 is available for smaller pipes up to DN 50. All compressed air meters measure bidirectionally, support various gas types (compressed air, N₂, O₂, CO₂, argon) and offer measuring dynamics of up to 1:1000. Interfaces: 4-20 mA, pulse, Modbus RTU, Ethernet, IO-Link.

From compressed air meter to compressed air monitoring - simple integration

A single flow meter shows you the consumption. But it gets really exciting when you combine several flow sensors with one Screen recorder DS 400 or DS 500 connect. You can then see at a glance which hall, which line or which machine is consuming how much compressed air - that's real compressed air monitoring. Thanks to Modbus RTU, Ethernet and IO-Link, all VA sensors can also be integrated directly into PLC controls and energy management systems. Suitable Cables and connecting cables can be found in our accessories section. This allows you to meet the requirements of compressed air consumption measurement in accordance with ISO 50001 - and save money in the process.
