Strainer and spare parts
Dirt traps - small components with big benefits
Dirt particles can cause considerable damage to devices, valves, fittings and pipelines. As a result, there is a risk that impurities entering the medium can have additional negative effects. As a result, strainers are indispensable components in many installations and systems, as they not only extend the service life of components, but also bring economic benefits.
Pre-connecting strainers - increasing the service life of the system
The more frequently pipelines and other components come into contact with dirt particles, the more serious the consequences. Over time, stubborn deposits can build up, impairing the efficiency of the pipes and therefore the entire system. In addition, dirt and deposits increase the risk of breakdowns, as these particles can potentially cause damage. Although this can be counteracted with early maintenance and shorter maintenance intervals, this causes additional effort and higher costs.
Strainers are increasingly being used to minimize the aforementioned problems. Even if no strainer can completely replace regular maintenance or the replacement of worn or damaged components, it extends the time before these measures become necessary. This makes both practical and economic sense. When selecting a strainer, it is also important that it is matched to the respective medium and the expected particles.
Dirt traps in the FILCOM range - various designs
At FILCOM you will find strainers in various designs, including:
- Brass bright
- Nickel-plated brass
- Gunmetal
- Stainless steel
In addition to our range of strainers, we also offer a wide range of accessories and spare parts, which further improves efficiency. All strainers have the ability to clean the flow medium by capturing and filtering dirt particles during the flow so that the medium is available for further use unadulterated. Strainers can be used with both gaseous and liquid media and the corresponding pipelines.
Various materials and designs
Brass components are generally suitable for normal media without any special requirements. For drinking water pipelines, on the other hand, gunmetal components are often used, which are approved in many regions without restrictions. Stainless steel is particularly suitable for media with special requirements or for aggressive chemicals. At FILCOM, you can always choose between different versions. Pay attention to the information on thread, DN and MW.
As the strainers have an integrated sieve that is responsible for the actual filtering, this should be checked and replaced regularly as part of the specified maintenance intervals. Replacement strainers made of different materials are also available from FILCOM. This allows you to simply replace the screen. Make sure that the replacement strainers are selected according to the material of the strainer.
