Measuring compressed air quality according to ISO 8573
Compliance with compressed air quality classes with OIL CHECK 500 & particle counter PC 400 from CS Instruments
In food production, the pharmaceutical industry or electronics manufacturing, compressed air quality is decisive for your product safety. The OIL CHECK 500 from CS Instruments continuously monitors the residual oil content in the compressed air from 0.001 to 5 mg/m³ - with patented auto-calibration, Made in Germany. The PC 400 particle counter detects particles as small as 0.1 µm at a flow rate of 28.3 l/min - ten times faster than conventional devices. Both measuring devices show you directly which compressed air class in accordance with ISO 8573-1 is achieved. This means you always know whether your compressed air quality classes are being met. Measuring compressed air quality has never been so easy and reliable. In combination with our Dew point sensors cover all three parameters of ISO 8573.
Compressed air classes according to ISO 8573 - What plant managers and maintenance staff need to know
ISO 8573-1 simply explained - the compressed air quality classes at a glance
The ISO 8573-1 standard divides compressed air quality into compressed air classes - separated according to three parameters: Solid particles, water content (pressure dew point) and residual oil content. Class 1 is the strictest requirement, class 6 the most relaxed. Compressed air quality classes 1.4.1 (particles.water.oil) usually apply to the food industry, and even 1.2.1 in the pharmaceutical industry. The compressed air classes are not a paper tiger - in audits and certifications (IFS, BRC, GMP) you must prove that your compressed air permanently meets the required quality. CS Instruments is the only manufacturer in the world that covers all three parameters with its own measuring devices: Dew point sensors for moisture, particle counter for particles and OIL CHECK for residual oil.
OIL CHECK 500 - monitor residual oil content in compressed air around the clock
The OIL CHECK 500 is the world's only online monitoring system with patented auto-calibration for high-precision measurement of the vaporous residual oil content in compressed air and gases. It continuously monitors the oil content from 0.001 to 5 mg/m³ and directly displays the compressed air class achieved in accordance with ISO 8573-1. If your set limit value is exceeded - for example when the activated carbon adsorber is exhausted - an alarm is triggered immediately. The OIL CHECK 500 is indispensable for industries in which the residual oil content in the compressed air determines product safety and consumer protection. The measurement data can be transmitted directly to the Screen recorder DS 500 for seamless long-term documentation of your compressed air quality.
Particle counter PC 400 - Verify compressed air quality class 1
The PC 400 is a high-precision optical laser particle counter for compressed air and technical gases. It detects particles from 0.1 µm in three measuring channels and is therefore able to verify compressed air quality class 1 in accordance with ISO 8573-1. What makes the PC 400 special: With a flow rate of 28.3 l/min (1 cfm), it counts ten times faster than standard devices on the market and therefore delivers significantly more representative results. Data transmission via Modbus RTU enables direct connection to the Screen recorder DS 500 for long-term monitoring of compressed air classes. This allows you to fully document your compressed air quality - for audits, certifications and your own good conscience.
