TIVAL FF 4 AAG pressure switch - high temperature up to +200 °C
Mechanical pressure switches with stainless steel corrugated tube for extreme conditions
The TIVAL FF 4 AAG use a corrugated stainless steel tube instead of a diaphragm and can withstand temperatures up to +200 °C. With a stainless steel connection thread and a pressure range of 1-30 bar, they are ideal for high-temperature applications and demanding industrial environments.
FF 4 AAG - High-temperature pressure switch made of stainless steel
The FF 4 AAG is the specialized high-temperature version of the TIVAL Pressure switch with full stainless steel construction. The characteristic corrugated stainless steel tube (not diaphragm or piston as in other versions) reliably withstands temperatures up to +200 °C. With G 1/4" stainless steel connection thread, it offers maximum corrosion resistance for demineralized water and pure steam applications.
Technical features & Construction
The FF 4 AAG is characterized by its stainless steel corrugated tube, which implements expansion-dependent switching when the pressure changes - robust and reliable even under extreme conditions. The connection thread is G 1/4" stainless steel, the entire housing is made of stainless steel or stainless steel hybrid construction. The protection class is IP54-65. The corrugated tube technology enables contactless pressure detection without moving diaphragms. The pressure range is infinitely adjustable from 1 to 30 bar.
Pressure ranges & areas of application
With a temperature range up to +200 °C, the FF 4 AAG is ideal for steam applications, high-temperature heating systems and industrial processes with extreme conditions. The pressure range of 1-30 bar is suitable for many high-pressure applications. The AAG is particularly suitable for demineralized water in heating systems, steam pressure switches and high-temperature pumps. Long-term stability at high temperatures is a feature of this stainless steel variant.
Standards & approvals
The FF 4 AAG complies with VDE 0660, IEC 337-1 and IEC 553-1 standards like all FF 4 variants. The high-temperature property up to +200 °C is certified and tested. The stainless steel components meet corrosion protection requirements for aggressive environments. With IP54-65 protection, the pressure switch offers protection in industrial environments. EN 60947-5-5 electrical switch certification is available.
AAG vs. membrane variants
In contrast to DAH(G) and DAY with a Perbunan diaphragm, AAG uses a corrugated stainless steel tube. This enables higher temperatures - DAH/DAY only go up to around +60-80 °C. AAG with only 2 available variants is specialized, but not suitable for oil or compressed air. The higher pressure range 1-30 bar is higher than DAY (16 bar) but lower than PAH (250 bar). For high temperature applications AAG is the only right choice.
