TIVAL FF 4 DAH(G) pressure switch - Universal for oil, water and air

Mechanical pressure switches with Perbunan diaphragm and gold-plated contacts

The TIVAL FF 4 DAH(G) are versatile mechanical pressure switches with Perbunan diaphragm for a wide range of media. With gold-plated switching contacts (G version), they offer maximum reliability and switching accuracy in the pressure range 0.11-32 bar.

FF 4 DAH(G) - Universal pressure switches for compressors and pumps

The FF 4 DAH(G) series is the most common variant of the TIVAL Pressure switch and is ideal for compressor, pump and compressed air applications. Thanks to the Perbunan diaphragm, this mechanical pressure switch can withstand mineral oils as well as water and compressed air. The DAH version uses standard contacts, while the DAHG version with gold-plated contacts ensures maximum switching accuracy.

Technical features & Construction

The FF 4 DAH(G) has a proven Perbunan diaphragm with a direct switching mechanism for precise pressure switching. The housing is made of die-cast silumin with protection class IP54-IP65 depending on the version. The connection thread is G 3/8" made of silumin (not stainless steel). The switch contacts are available either standard or gold-plated (G version). The pressure range is infinitely adjustable from 0.11 to 32 bar by adjusting a setting spring.

Pressure ranges & areas of application

With a maximum pressure range of up to 32 bar, the FF 4 DAH(G) is ideal for compressors, piston pumps and rotary vane pumps. The low response pressure of 0.11 bar also makes it suitable for low-pressure applications. The versatility of the medium (oil, water, air) makes this variant the first choice for many industrial applications. The switching accuracy is typically ±0.1 bar with standard contacts and even better with gold-plated DAHG contacts.

Standards & approvals

The FF 4 DAH(G) complies with VDE 0660, IEC 337-1 and IEC 553-1 standards. The electrical switches are tested in accordance with EN 60947-5-5. With IP54 or IP65 protection, the pressure switch offers protection against foreign bodies and water jets. The switching capacity typically reaches 230 V AC, 3 A for resistive loads. Oil, water and compressed air compatibility is certified.

DAH(G) vs. other FF 4 variants

Compared to DAY (only demineralized water), DAH(G) is more universally applicable. DAH(G) differs from PAH in its lower maximum pressure (32 bar instead of 250 bar) and its diaphragm instead of piston design. AAG with corrugated stainless steel tube offers higher temperatures up to +200 °C. DRH is a manual reset variant. The corresponding variants are available for special requirements such as DNV, VdS or ATEX.
